In less than 5 seconds, the transmission curves of passive optical components can be characterized over the wavelength range from 1240 to 1680 nm with the CT400. The unit tests directly a DUT (Device Under Test) with up to 4 output ports and can be interfaced with external detectors for higher port count DUTs.

The CT400 Optical Component Tester requires at least one tunable laser with sweeping capability and an external PC. The CT400 software provides a convenient graphical user interface with data analysis features (GUI). A DLL file is available so that customers can easily integrate the CT400 in test benches with their own interface. The DLL is compatible with LabView, Python, C++ and a number of other languages.

The full wavelength range from 1240 to 1680 nm is obtained with the CT400 when using multiple lasers. The unit switches automatically between the subsequent lasers enabling seamless scans over the full range.
